PLTW

PLTW Overview

Project Lead the Way is the nation’s leading provider of rigorous STEM education for elementary, middle and high school students.

Seminole Science STEM Charter School is making an effort to prepare our students for the 21st century by implementing Project Lead the Way (PLTW) in elementary and middle school.

Project Lead the Way (PLTW) provides a comprehensive approach to STEM Education. Through an activity-based, a project-based, and a problem-based curriculum, PLTW gives students in kindergarten through eighth grade an opportunity to apply what they know, identify problems, find creative solutions, and guide their own learning.

PLTW Launch

Through PLTW Launch, our program for kindergarten through fifth grade, students become problem solvers. Students use structured approaches, like the engineering design process, and employ critical thinking. They apply STEM knowledge, skills, thinking habits, and learn that it is OK to take risks and make mistakes.

PLTW Gateway

Middle school is the perfect time for students to explore and learn that there is more than one way to reach a solution. PLTW Gateway provides engineering and computer science curriculum for middle school students that challenges, inspires, and offers schools variety and flexibility. PLTW Gateway is a strong foundation for further STEM learning in high school and beyond, challenging students to solve real-world challenges, such as cleaning oil spills and designing sustainable housing solutions.

Here at Seminole Science Charter School we offer the following courses for PLTW Gateway:
